I need some help...

"When you gather your crops and fail to bring in some of the corn that you have cut, do not go back for it; it is to be left for the foreigners, orphans, and widows, so that the Lord your God  will bless you in everything you do. When you have picked your olives once, do not go back and get those that are left; they are for the foreigners, orphans, and widow. When you have gathered your grapes once, do not go back over the vines a second time; the grapes that are left are for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Never forget that you were slaves in Egypt; that is why I have given you this command."- Deuteronomy 24:19-24

My friends, I need some help.I am taking my 5th trip to Haiti this summer, and I am going to be there for 3 months. I leave on May 15, 2014.I don't have to pay to stay down there (thank you Jesus!), but this means that I am making no money the entire summer. My amazing aunt and uncle decided that they wanted to support me by paying for my flights!! Yet another amazing donation! The problems is, I still have some bills to pay while I am gone, and some travel expenses (medications, food, shorts, camera batteries, transportation to and from the airport, etc). This year, I will not have worked for a couple months before heading down, and because I am living on student loans, this means that my money is gone. Living 3 months in Haiti is going to be hard and beautiful.I LOVE this country, I LOVE these people, and I LOVE my Haitian family and friends.I want to be a blessing, not a burden.I am going to Haiti to work harder than I ever thought possible.I am going to Haiti to live with and share in the struggles of the people I meet, and help to lighten their load as best as I can.I want simply love on these people. I am not 100% sure of the kind of work I am going to be a part of, but I know that I am willing to do whatever kind of work Miriam asks me to do. This may include taking kids to their hospital or doctors appointments, checking on and feeding children from other orphanages, organizing supplies, helping other teams gather the resources they need for their projects, assisting with medical clinics, playing translator (kind of), and leading worship. There is a list at the bottom of this post detailing the donations that I am hoping to bring down. You can donate the actual items, you can donate money for specific items, or you can donate money for the general fund, and I will spend it where I see a need (buying charcoal or food for an orphanage that has none, purchasing a meal for translators and drivers simply to bless them and thank them for helping me so much, paying a hospital bill, having a prescription filled, or helping to pay a bill)I have been able to do some fundraising with a couple of girls who are also coming to Haiti a bit later than me, and I am thankful that I will be able to bring some supplies down. I would like to be able to fill my suitcase, and have some extras for the other girls to bring down as well. Thank you, my friends, for always supporting me, for always praying and thinking of me, for never tiring of my stories and my weepy moments, for investing in me while I am here, even when my heart is longing to be in Haiti.I am overwhelmed by the friendship and love that has been extended to me over the past few years.I love you all, and I can't wait to share this trip with all of you! Teri-Annteriannross@hotmail.com604-339-0931  Donation List for 2014

Jesus Feeds Five Thousand

30 The apostles returned and met with Jesus, and told him all they had done and taught. 31 There were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his disciples didn't even have time to eat. So he said to them, “Let us go off by ourselves to some place where we will be alone and you can rest a while.” 32 So they started out in a boat by themselves to a lonely place.

33 Many people, however, saw them leave and knew at once who they were; so they went from all the towns and ran ahead by land and arrived at the place ahead of Jesus and his disciples. 34 When Jesus got out of the boat, he saw this large crowd, and his heart was filled with pity for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began to teach them many things. 35 When it was getting late, his disciples came to him and said, “It is already very late, and this is a lonely place. 36 Send the people away, and let them go to the nearby farms and villages in order to buy themselves something to eat.”

37 “You yourselves give them something to eat,” Jesus answered.

They asked, “Do you want us to go and spend two hundred silver coins[c] on bread in order to feed them?”

38 So Jesus asked them, “How much bread do you have? Go and see.”

When they found out, they told him, “Five loaves and also two fish.”

39 Jesus then told his disciples to make all the people divide into groups and sit down on the green grass. 40 So the people sat down in rows, in groups of a hundred and groups of fifty. 41 Then Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven, and gave thanks to God. He broke the loaves and gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. 42 Everyone ate and had enough. 43 Then the disciples took up twelve baskets full of what was left of the bread and the fish. 44 The number of men who were fed was five thousand.

Jesus Feeds Four Thousand People

Not long afterward another large crowd came together. When the people had nothing left to eat, Jesus called the disciples to him and said, “I feel sorry for these people, because they have been with me for three days and now have nothing to eat. If I send them home without feeding them, they will faint as they go, because some of them have come a long way.”

His disciples asked him, “Where in this desert can anyone find enough food to feed all these people?”

“How much bread do you have?” Jesus asked.

“Seven loaves,” they answered.

He ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves, gave thanks to God, broke them, and gave them to his disciples to distribute to the crowd; and the disciples did so.They also had a few small fish. Jesus gave thanks for these and told the disciples to distribute them too. 8-9 Everybody ate and had enough—there were about four thousand people. Then the disciples took up seven baskets full of pieces left over. Jesus sent the people away 10 and at once got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.
