I know you know I miss Haiti, but I have some PLANS up my sleeve!!!

I know you all know that I miss Haiti. 

You all know that I would rather be in Haiti than in Canada.

You all know that I can't get Haiti out of my head.

Yes, I miss the hot weather, I miss the food, I miss the adventure.

But do you know what I miss the absolute most?

I miss the little moments of being Mama.

I miss having a baby smile when he sees me walk into the room. I miss having a toddler see me, and start making funny faces that only we know how to make. I miss having little ones feel safe enough to fall asleep in my arms, almost every time I hold them. I miss talking to the younger kids, after they've thrown rocks at each other, and tell them "I am not going to MAKE you apologize, but I think you know that Jesus would want you to say you're sorry, right?", and have them nod and apologize when they are ready. I miss playing tic tac toe for HOURS, and fighting with my opponent about who is cheating, and what is considered cheating. I miss having to change a diaper in the back of a vehicle. I miss having SHOCKINGLY deep conversations with the older kids, and being reminded over and over how much WISDOM they have already. I miss realizing that each one of these kids is worth fighting for, and that I can't WAIT to see how they grow and flourish.

And to think, in Canada, I am not quite sure how to deal with a lot of the kids here...

BUT there are some plans, some things a-changing, so work that needs to be done!

I have a WHOLE LIST of goals related to Haiti. 

The first, get a website set up. That one, I believe, is just about done! I might have to tweak a couple things, but that's not so bad! Suggestions? Let me know!

Second, I want to have some calendars made as a fundraiser for my next Haiti trip, something affordable, and with my own photos. If you have suggestions, ideas, contacts, input, let me know! If you WANT a calendar, let me know!

Third, my goal is to at LEAST have the paperwork to start my own not-for-profit organization finished over the Christmas break. I have a little information from a while ago, but again, if you have suggestions, ideas, contacts, input, let me know! If you want to be involved, let me know!

 I want to help people succeed in Haiti, but my family in CANADA is incredibly important too!
